Author Visits

Dan is available for school, library, and conference visits. He is also an experienced video chatter, happy to talk about writing, inspiration, and his two ridiculously silly pet cats . . . He's traveled around the country, speaking to thousands of students and educators about his career as an author. 

During his funny and spooky 30 minute presentation, Dan discusses how growing up in a "haunted" house has inspired him to write scary stories. He shares personal tales and "ghostly" photos from his own collection. Dan describes his writing process - from the spark of starting a story, to the craft of developing ideas and outlines, and finally, the importance of revising your work. Each presentation is followed by a 10 minute question and answer period, where students and patrons interact directly with Dan. He will also sign all purchased books.
